Projects
As you look around the campus of First Trinity, you’ll notice there are lots of things that need doing. Some are quite obvious, some you may not even have known about. Projects vary from maintenance issues to new additions for ministry. For the sake of organization, projects are broken down into the main areas where the work will be done, listed below. Click an area to go to a post that catalogs how the space is used and what sorts of improvements we’d like to do.
As you read these “super posts” that list all the stuff we’d like to do, you’ll notice several different headers. Most are self-explanatory, but one deserves an explanation. When we talk about building space at First Trinity, we often talk about a Major use and a Minor use. Because we use our space so frequently, very few rooms are considered “dedicated” to one use. The Major use of a room is the one that will most influence the design of a room. The Minor uses will be taken into account so they can still function in the renovated room.
As an example, the basement majors in Youth Ministry and minors in large meetings/classes. This means the decor and furniture will emphasize Youth Ministry, but we wouldn’t place permanent furniture/fixtures that would preclude the space from being used for large meetings.
